Recommended memory card speed and class for a65

Need some help/recommendations for a memory card for the a65 I'm picking up today.

I don't shoot anywhere near 6 fps let alone 10, so I'm more concerned about video write speed and ensuring smooth video.

Does this have nothing to do with the read/write speed or class of the memory card?

Also, while I dislike the idea of buying proprietary cards, is there any advantage to using Sony's memory sticks as opposed to standard SD cards.
