Pentax K-01 - kinda weird mirrorless camera that uses only K-mount lenses and is not being well received

Ricoh A16 APS-C zoom module - huge, hulking, moderately expensive zoom lens for the GXR system only.

Doesn't it seem obvious what the right solution would have been? A K-mount module for the GXR system. You get far more flexibility than with either of the above release. Those buying a K-01, would instead buy into a system that allow use of both Pentax lenses, or Ricoh Modules - which now are both Ricoh products. Those buying K-mount lenses, might consider a full DSLR to go with them - more sailes for Pentax. The GXR system instantly gets a huge library of AF lens options, making it less of a niche system. It removes basically all the complaints of the GXR system and K-01.

Instead we get two severely limiting solutions that are stuck firmly in the quirky camera category.
