Southampton and area around question

Hi to all,

there is a possibility for me to be in Southampton for about 5-6 hours in a few months.Photography is my main concern,so i d like to ask,what you advise??To stay at Southampton or try the country?From a quick researh i saw the main interests outside are Salisbury,Netley Abbey and Winchester.I am tempted by Stonehenge too,but i dont havecar,i can use publuic transportation only.
So what are your suggestions people?
