Canon S100 IQ

I am thinking about buying the S100 as a take everywhere camera. I had an S90 that I was very happy with, but my wife managed to take it to the beach and have a wave run over it... The S100 would be more convenient because of the 24mm wideangle. My question is if its IQ is as good as the S90. I generally shoot in daylight, outdoors, base ISO, RAW, aperture priority. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
