Legacy Lenses- success and failure
Jan 30, 2012

I have an NX10 and have been using a number of legacy manual lenses for about a year with varying degrees of success and failure. I currently have a specific problem that I would appreciate advice on.

the adaptor I'm using is a Kiwii (Hong Kong) PK mount

the problem is when I use my Pentax SMC M 1:2 50mm I cannot focus at infinity.

with my other the lenses

Pentax SMC -FA 1:47-5.8 100-300mm
Tokina SD 70-210
Soligor 400mm prime

focusing at infinity is not a problem

My reasoning is that either;

the adaptor is outside the lens to sensor distance tolerance (too long) for the Pentax 50mm

the lens is at fault - close to medium sharpness is very good ( as I stop down infinity becomes better but not sharp)

My concern is that as I plan to buy an SMC M 1.4 50 mm that I will have the same problem.

I welcome advice or experiences particulary with what is "perfect" adaptor or of this lens/adaptor combination.
