5D or 7D... dilemma

I still do not own a dSLR. Every time I think I am ready to buy a Canon a better version is released that I can't afford so I wait until prices drop and then something better is released and I still have not bought one. Well now the 7D is around $1350 body only and I was just offered a 5D (not a 5DII) body only for $1000. The 5D was just serviced by Canon. So here is my choices. I want to hear from the members here and I need help deciding on a new 7 or a freshly serviced original 5.

The two are so different. Obviously the 5 has an advantage with being full frame. But, no pop-up flash. The 7 shoots faster, does fine video, and has a larger clearer LCD.

Original MSRP on the 5 is double the MSRP on the 7. Is the 5 that much better?
