Well fortunately I don't base my opinions solely on reviews and test charts, rather on user experience of my lenses and how I use them. The 18-55mm is most definitely better overall than my version of the Oly 14-42mm II, in terms of sharpness and consistency. Rather than just go around in circles in a pointless p$$$ing contest here are a couple of images from it, does it look like it's falling apart at the edges or not sharp to you?

Even beer bottle will be sharp on edges when shooting at f11 and sharpening it with 150 in ACR.

Except that neither of those images are F11 or sharpened excessively in LR.

Oh great, instead of discussing about professional lens reviews you start your own pi$$ing contest, and throw straw man in form of 2 oversharpened samples, shot at unspecified high aperture in resolution way below current possibilities to prove whatever point.
