Spots on the seonsor: tip on cleaning?

After 4 months of 5N use, I've noticed dust spots on my photos, and in my viewfinder when pointed at white paper. The problem is not with the lens, as best I can tell.

I've used auto cleaning, which didn't get rid of the spots. I saw a tutorial video by Sony and will be buying the cleaning kit.

Any tips from folks who have been successful with cleaning a 5N sensor?
