BTW, Photostream (apple iCloud) has been an excellent way to "transfer" images between the Mac (where I use Aperture) and the iPad. I'll drop a Aperture image to Photostream, adjust it with SnapSeed on the iPad, save and then, copy it to my Aperture folder.

If you use ICloud to transfer photos to the IPad it resizes them. Compare the original with the example you edited in Snapseed when it's back in Aperture. The only way to avoid is is by using the camera kit.
