Copyright question

Hello,
I photographed the famous statue of Freddie mercury in Montreux, and tried to google the copyright terms regarding this public monument and could not find any answer, it appears free of use but I am not certain of that. I would like to know if I am allowed to show or sell the pictures on my personal website, also, what about stock photography ?
is this a copyright infringement ? (not my shot):
