S95 Question

How can I keep the S95 from changing the aperture when taking photos longer than 1 second? When I try to use the bracketing feature in Av mode, if the shutter needs to be longer than 1 second, the camera changes the aperture instead of the shutter speed. I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't seem to find it. I've turned the Safety Shift off, but that doesn't seem to help.

Thanks,
Otto...
