The vast majority of the lens profiles that ship with ACR/LR (including the Tamron ones) were designed to be use with raw files only. This is why they are not made available when processing jpeg/tiff files. Yes, you can do the xmp hack to get them to show up, but the quality of the results will likely be suboptimal. (For distortion, maybe ok, but for CA and vignette correction very likely to be off or maybe even make the image worse.)
