Do it! (re: MF primes)...I love shooting MF but it sucks to hand the cam over to someone and say "Ok, you can't move the camera forward/back because the focus is set..." and ask them to take a picture of you. Also have to be sure to set AE...oh well, #firstworldproblems, right?
I only want the Ultron 28/2 for the slightly advantage in low light. I was at a steak house and the 28/2.8 was still strugging at ISO 3200 (prob should've pushed to 6400). Those shots are rare but I'd like the option. Contrast looks great on the CV lens...
After I nailed (what I felt) were some difficult exposures, I made a game out of it; turned off Auto HDR and tried to play with tough lighting. Love a challenging exposure.
PP was minimal with these; most are OOC jpegs. If anything, I pushed shadows on some or fill light with very few, but even cropping was minimal. I did, however, use the straighten feature a lot (Picasa; will get LR 4 when I get a new laptop).
Haven't even shot RAW yet.
I took maybe 3500 photos over 12-13 days and narrowed it down to 980 in my album. I swear sometimes I take a shot and have no idea how good/bad it'll come out until I see it when I'm home, on a larger screen and in a relaxed setting. Odd phenomenon.
Anyway, I feel ill not shooting photos right now Just felt in the zone having my cam and walking around. I think I caught the bug...
