Will it really be practical? Right now the NX200 provides only rudimentary manual focusing aids (for example, you can magnify only the central portion of the screen, which is totally inconvenient). The NEX-5n with its excellent combination of MF magnification and peaking is much more suitable for manual glass.

huh ????

few things

a) with all lenses you can select two magnification levels which are absolutely ok and usable

But still you can not move the magnified area around the frame. It's always in the center.

b) with all lenses you can use a kind of contrast based sharpness indicator which is getting you a peak sharpness versus actual one.

I didn't tested this with recent firmware, but in v 1.01 this sharpness indicator was based upon the whole frame and not a specific area in the center of he frame as it was in the NX100. Because something in the frame is always sharp, this 'green bar' as it is implemented in the NX200 is basically useless.

In addition when using NX system lenses you can magnify where you place you focus point when shooting single point AF. This feature is linked to the DMF function added to NX200 so that the MF support opens at turn of the front ring at the place where the focus is set.

I was talking about manual focus lenses.

The MF implementation of the NX200 has greatly improved from the one of the NX100 and even more the NX10 which misses out the red&green sharpness bar.

But it's still lousy compared to the competition.
