They go on to say that milcs make up 31% of the total interchangeable lens market in Japan but only 10% in the USA. On those percentages, Samsung's share of the milc market would have been between 6.25% and 20%. Where in that range would depend on the global milc percentage of total ilc sales.

First of all, the correct link to the article is:

I don't know how they came to that 2% figure, but it is actually WAY too high.

In 2010, the total ILC camera shipments were 12.9 million units according to CIPA.

In 2011, this market grew 12% - again, according to CIPA - and the total shipments were 14.4 million units.

If those numbers are accurate (and I suppose they are), Samsung's market share is just 0.83%.
