Canon 7D quits, then works fine

I have had this 7D for about a year plus. It is a super camera. The last 2 weeks I have had a few issues where it just stops dead when using. At first I thought it was a battery problem. I ordered a new battery, it has not arrived yet. I used a backup battery I have been using and it seemed to work fine until today, it is doing the same thing, it just quit when I was using it. After it sat for about 5 minutes and some switching of lens etc all of the sudden it clicks on. Battery life says full, charging capabilities says 2/3. Now the what I thought was a bad battery seems to work fine. It seems to be something in the electronics. Now is it working good again. This camera has preformed outstanding using it almost daily outdoors for wildlife. I never have had a battery go on me out in the field.
