tablet for sketching?
Jan 18, 2012

I'm looking into getting a tablet for doing design work but I don't really know what to look for in a tablet for this use. I heard there's a difference between capacitive and resisitive screens, and some tablets work better with styluses than others.

I'm looking at getting one of the new generation tablets, like the the Asus Transformer T700 which has a 1920x1200 or something screen. How important is having this high res screen for sketching; will it let me make more detailed work or be more sensitive?

Also looking at the Lenovo K2 which has the same type of screen and maybe even the new Acer.

What about Samsung for sketching? I think I heard they had a tablet that was especially good for this.

What about software? I plan on using Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro. Are there other good softwares?
