6M or 12M shooting

Hi,

Do you prefer disabling the X10's processing to get 12MP or do you set it
so it only shoots at 6MP for highest DR?

I have place one on order and been reading up on the X10. I read some prefer to set it so it takes 12MP, flat, softer shots to be PP.

So for non PP, just set it to shoot at 6MP and no worries?

Only PP I want to do is if I have an shot for HDR using PC software.
Then I need to disable EXR? EXR only works in the EXR mode?

It was a really tough call with the X100, better DOF, larger sensor but at twice as much cost. I'm hoping the X10 will fill my needs till the X Pro is within reach.
