Quick 85mm F1.8 vs 70-200 F2.8 IS II

Doing a few tests on my new lens. These are center crops between my 85mm F1.8 and 70-200 F2.8 IS II. Focus is on the Jack Daniels bottle and confirmed in live-view. Mirror lockup, tripod, and studio strobe was used.

One lens obviously doesn't replace the other, although at this point I'd say that is mostly for size and weight reasons (not to mention price if you don't have both already).

I can post more comparisons when I have more time. Bottom line is that I'm impressed with the IQ of the 70-200.
