No. You still have to use the manual focus ring. I'm not sure, but I believe that you can use the Canon AF by half-pressing the shutter button.
Thanks Yogi - last silly question lol if you are using manual focus using the focus ring would you still getnoticable lense sounds/noise like you do when using auto focus
