handheld = backfocus.........Tripod = ok
Jan 15, 2012

So among all the focus threads, here is mine.

I tested focus with my D7000 and my 50mm f1.8D. I have tried many tests with the tripod, and seems to be ok with focusing. Live view, and VF (AF-S and AF-C 9 point) all appear about the same...

However, off the tripod (even at higher shutter speeds - above 1/250), I get sproadic back focus issues when using the VF compared to the live view. It's not camera shake since if it was nothing would be in focus. I get the focus point shifted.

Can anyone help explain this? I want to be able to take pictures without a tripod at some point!.....
