Moving Epson 3880 from Alaska to Louisiana?

I'm moving to New Orleans next week and need to prepare my 3880 for the movers. I'm planning to 'pre-pack' it in the original box to minimize the movers messing with it.

My stuff will go on a boat from Anchorage to Seattle, then by truck across America. It's January so one needs to be prepared for cold winter conditions.

What is the advice on preparation? Do I need to remove ink cartridges? ...or are the ink cartridges unlikely to freeze even at -30 F? I'm guessing removing the Maintenance cartridge is a given?

Any other advice?
