GRD III still kicking
Jan 13, 2012

I bought the GRD III for a number of reasons, one of them being my need for an always-with-me rapid shooter.

One day I was walking through the city, caught in a cold and drizzly morning. I passed by a luxury hotel to see two couples going about their wedding activities, with all manner of gowns and suits and laughter along the way. As it was wet, my DSLR gear was stowed in a bag and my coat buttoned against the cold, so I couldn't shoot the rapidly unfolding scenes that so kindly presented themselves to me.

On that day I decided I needed a fast and small camera. Something that could be out of my pocket in an instant and capture whatever was in front of me. After some research, I figured that the GRD III was the one. And now that I have it, it goes everywhere with me.

It's this rapid shooting ability paired with discretion that make it a super little candid grabber. Sometimes you look for the shot. But sometimes it finds you:

The GRD III has magnificent colours in the right situations:

If you need a fast and unobtrusive camera that feels like an extension of your hand; if you want a fast, wide angle lens and you have little need for zoom; and if you enjoy using well crafted and designed equipment, give the GRD III a go. You might end up with one with you all the time, as well.
