I guess all PZD versions are made in China while previous non-PZD versions are made in Japan.

Is there a 'Made in Japan' version for this lens (Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3 VC PZD) or are all of them 'Made in China'? My other Tamron lens (17-50mm F/2.8 VC) is 'Made in Japan' so I thought there might be a 'Made in Japan' version as well for the Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3 VC PZD. Not that it matters much but somehow Japan made lenses tend to connote 'better quality' to most people. Another question, is there a Tamron hood not 'Made in the Philippines'? Thanks for your replies.
