newbie needs advice re: female photography

I'm a newbie photographer. I shot my friend last sunday(the first time trying out my studio lighting), and this is one of the better ones.

I've met a very attractive young model(not the above) who is basically willing to do whatever I want, however she sent me her previous shots and they were very, je ne sais quoi, artistic. black and whites, involving backgrounds, and deeply moving poses. In all ways, a perfect model, but has anyone else felt like they lack the artistic vision to properly direct such a model? I do have some ideas, some inspired by poetry, others from religion, others philosophy. How to make these concrete in the form is the challenging aspect.
