Just an update on my experiences with the so called repair...

You have seen the problems I was having with the P7000, irritating yet still fairly minor problems when I sent it back under warranty.

When the camera finally came back to me only the lens barrier had been fixed. The intermittant problems hadn't shown up during the service, and the aperture setting problem seems to be a case of "ignore it and it will go away" as they made no mention of it at all.

Before the "repair" I seem to have been one of the few people to own a P7000 with no focus error. Since it's return and the "recalibration" it rarely locks focus first attempt and seems to hunt a lot more too.

I figured I would put up with it until after Christmas just so that I would have my camera for the holiday. Unfortunately, the week before Christmas the SD card stopped locking into place.

This WAS a good camera with a few design flaws, then it was serviced. Now it's just a piece of crap!

Nikon's UK service centre sucks. Hope they get it right this time.

Wonder how many months it will take them this time.
