Alternative to X10?

I have sold my Nikon DLSR setup to fund Fujifilm X10 purchase but the orb issue basically puts the X10 out of the question. I was looking at Nikon 7100 as a replacement but I kinda hate stepped zoom lenses controlled by + - switch.
So besides 4/3 systems, are there any other alternatives that would have manual zoom? I would say that X10 size and manual zoom are the must haves in my new camera. OVF would be plus but I can live without it. Any recommendations just in case I have overlooked something?
