Good or bad to use 16:9 aspect ratios by default?

It seems 1080p/720p 16:9 displays (you like it or not) has become a standard in our households and most of us (I could be wrong here) do not develop them on paper anymore.

Hence would taking native 16:9 pictures be totally wrong???

When watching pictures on HDTVs displays I find 3:2 / 4:3 pictures with black borders on the sides a little less impressive…

I don’t think cropping them afterwards would always work.

However I do agree there are some situations where 3:2 / 4:3 is best, but for most of the time 16:9 should work fine…

I would like to hear your thoughts???
