X-Pro1 sensor seems to be made by Sony

Regardless of what Fuji marketing says, the sensor looks to be the same, or a variation of the Sony sensor that is inside K-5, D7000, NEX-5N etc.
The images of the sensor on Fujifilm site show a sensor which has identical wiring to the Sony IMX071. Vertical resolution is also identical, as is the chip size. Horizontally 32 pixels have been sacrificed for some reason it seems. A smart and safe choice I am sure, but I was kind of hoping for something more original just to satisfy be thirst for different solutions.
