I think the HS20 has a port for plugging in an AC Adapter, why not the HS30?

Hi alexisgreat,

At some point I may well have to stand corrected about the a/c adapter feature for an HS30EXR. I did an online search of the HS20 manual where (you are indeed correct) it does have an a/c adapter available. However the connectivity is accomplished thru a DC Coupler that appears to be inserted into the battery well.
The fujifilm site
http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/accessories/adapter/

list an a/c adapter for the HS20EXR that is also compatible with over 100 other fujifilm camera models.

At the present time the HS30EXR is not on the list which is totally understandable on two counts. 1) Not yet released and 2) Different battery type/style. It may well have that function also, but a quick search for an HS30EXR manual turned up nothing (which again is totally understandable). There is a catalogue available for the HS30EXR but for "Optional Accessories" it only lists a "remote shutter release" and "Lens Filters", and this is what I was basing my original remark on. So I can not confirm or deny an a/c adapter for the HS30EXR. And while the HS20EXR uses AA sized batteries the HS30EXR apparently has shifted to a proprietary style battery. So only time will tell if an a/c adapter accessory for the HS30EXR will be available. I do hope it does.
