28-70 2.8 vs new primes

A question for those of you with experience with these lenses - would you prefer to have a 28-70 2.8 that is in excellent condition or would you rather have a combination of the new primes like the 35, 50 and 85 1.8 lenses?
What is a fair selling price for a 28-70 that is in excellent condition?
