own a printer or use a service?

I am just wanted to get people opinion on buying a printer vs sending images to snapfish for example? Based on what I have been reading i see that people pay about 1200 for a decent printer but then have to deal with monitor calibration, clogged inkjets, ink costs, "profiles" etc etc etc..

I like to have control over my pics and having my own printer but is it really worth all the time and money?

What if you had to print 100-150 5 x 7 do you still print at home?
