Well, if that was the case, then I would never have a need for a prime at all? Plus, most smaller primes, 35mm/50mm/28mm, are much much faster than my 'fastest' zoom lens at f/3.5. Plus, I enjoy using them. They're probably better than the kit lens, and the tamron zoom I have now. Well, the tamron isn't really bad, just not to fast at f/4. Perhaps I should have brought this question to the pentax forum. - -
