Very cool indeed! Even though we get very little snow here in Louisiana, all my life I've been fascinated at the geometry of snowflakes...how each one is a perfect mathematical design in every respect, and no two are ever the same.
So just last week I excitedly clipped a news article about scientists who are obsessed with how on earth falling water can crystallize into a perfect design, with every part of the flake a mirror image of the other, and never, ever exactly like another.
Your shots get me revved up in that fascination. Next time, a tripod would help for sure, but I thoroughly enjoyed your post. Keep it up.Have a great 2012...with LOTS of snowflake photography!
