RAW Linear or not

When useing Breezebrowser you can convert to TIFF files using Normal og Linear. I've read a lot about this, and many websites says that you should use linear, and then run the files thru PS using LinearSharping actions.

Is it worth it??. I've experienced some color problems when doing this. I am using a Canon D30, and shoot a wide range of photos. (familily, nature etc)

What is your experince her. Convert normal og linear??. Or....convert direct to JPEG???
