X10 chokes on first RAW
Jan 2, 2012

Saving my yays and wows of my new X10 for later,
I'm curious about its behavior when switching to RAW.

I take a set pf jpegs on 'P' mode, for example - not too quickly,
just normal pointing and shooting of, say, three photos during 10 seconds.
I then press the 'RAW' button and take a photo.
The camera has a very hard time swallowing that first RAW image,
choking on it for 6, 7 or 8 full seconds before I can do anything else.
After that first one, RAW photos take a reasonably short writing time.

I'm admit I'm using a class 2 sandisk sd card,
but the fact is that any other RAW image after that first one
doesn't take as long - not even close.

I haven't found any data about this behavior -
if it's a known issue, please someone post a link to it
(and Fuji - please see what can be done to fix it by FW),
or if it isn't - has anybody else encountered it, too?

Thanks,
eyalg
