LPS,

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the thumb rest. Took me less than 20 seconds to figure it out and do it.

My trick was to place a finger under the right side of the thumb rest and apply upward pressure and slight pressure to the rear to unseat the thumb rest from the rubber piece that secures it. Once theirs is done, then you can slide the I out using a gentle back and forth motion toward the rear.
