The difference in image quality between 18-55/55-200 combo and the single 18-250 is negligible in real world application (prints or web use). The single 18-250 offers portability, that is taking up less space than two lenses in your camera bag, and convenience that you don't need to swap lens to get within the range of 18mm to 200mm (or 250mm).

Sony 18-250 seems to have a tad better build quality than its Tamron counterpart (which often has loose rubber grip over time), and a tad better IQ than the 18-200 version.

All of these are based on my own experience with all these lenses, 18-55, 55-200, 18-200 both sony and tamron, 18-250 both sony and tamron.
