Again I'm agreeing with you. I think its because there aren't any details which easily give away the ground level viewpoint in that, so less conflicting information that a closer shot of a single building. I think asymmetry is also a factor, I'd mind the 'lean' less if there was another tower on the other side to give more of a clue that its perspective, rather than a leaning tower.
