Raynox 250 works best with lenses of 135 mm or more. With 18 - 105 you will get strong vignetting and will have to crop to get usable results. If you want to get into macro photography with Raynox 250 it is best to get eg. 55 - 200, 55 - 300, or 70 - 300. Effects may be really impressive then - you won't regret additional investment and will end up with a close-up lens for other goals.
