P7100 Can't select Interval Timer Shooting

As a long-time Nikon DSLR user I really enjoy my new p7100.
However when I want to try the Interval Timer Shooting function, I can't do so because I am unable to select neither the MultiShot 16 nor the Interval Timer Shooting from the shooting menu. I've tried on all P,S,A,M modes with no success. The camera allows me to select Single, Continuus, Cont.Flash and BSS but not the abovementioned last two options. I am sure the solution is simple, but I just can't figure it out by myself. May I ask for some help please? Thanks.
