Well, I consider that bull too. At ISO 250 my D300 was noticeably better than my D200, and at base ISO with both cameras exposed to the right the differences were about 1/3 of a stop (which is absolutely negligible). Maybe you were disappointed with the color profiles of the D90/D300, I don't know, but that is not a problem caused by the sensors. The D200 was a fine camera for me, I bought two of them and used them extensively, but I don't miss it and I don't think it was better than my D300 at anything.
