Adding Golden Light to a Image - A Plugin Tip
Dec 28, 2011
|
I stumbled upon this use of Nik Software's Color Efex Pro (3.0) Photoshop Plugin "Reflector Effects" tool. It is designed to mimic the use of a gold reflector commonly used in portrait photography. However, it can do wonders for wildlife and landscape scenes as well.
I used the "Reflector Effects" tool in this shot of a mallard duck, and in this photo made in a ghost town in Arizona. I show the before and after. The Gold "Reflector Effects" adds a warming effect that looks much more appealing than a typical warming filter. It looks more vivid while warming the colors as well . I like it!

original, without "Reflector Effects:"
I think its a neat way to add warmth to an image!
