control panel - bracketing & hyperfocal

Rhetorical question -- this should be implemented with a firmware update.

Why hasn't Oly or Panny (or anyone else for that matter) integrated these simple and desirable functions into their control panels (SCP or equivalent)?

1) Exposure bracketing: would have the following options

(a) on; (b) off; (c) setup [with sub options for how much + -]

2) Auto Hyperfocal: this setting would automatically put focus of lens at hyperfocal distance for the aperture set (would work only in A mode)

It can't be that hard to program these things. Putting a camera into and out of bracketing mode is such a pain. This should be more easily accessible.
