D5100 Focus for Sports

Hi. I am using my D5100 to shoot video of my son and his team's wrestling matches. I am having difficulty in the camera holding focus on the subjects. These are all shot indoors, in a gym, lighting is not great but exposures are adequate. The subjects (wrestlers) are generally moving quite a bit and I am shooting at 150mm to 200mm from across the mat (lens is 18 - 200 VR). Should I be using Single Point AF, Dynamic Area AF, 3D Tracking, or Auto-Area AF? Also, I assume AF-C (Continuous) is the right setting for focus mode?

I find myself having to hold the shutter half way down to keep getting back into focus, and it is not convenient, to say the least.

Anybody have similar shooting and have experience/recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Pete
