Aperture and "Places" data

When exporting JPG files, I am aware that Aperture allows me to turn on/off the ability to embed Places data into EXIF as GPS data, and Faces data as Keywords. I've also noticed that I can write this data permanently into the master RAW files, but this option seems to only use IPTC fields and Faces data--skipping Places data. Is this simply a limitation of the software or am I missing an option somewhere in the settings? I'd like to be able to write both Faces and Places data permanently into the master RAW file.
