Help me choose a pano stitcher today
Dec 18, 2011

I am looking for a panorama stitch program. I tried Photoshop CS4 (I have this), PTGui and Panorama Maker using a ten-shot pano. The lens is Nikkor 28-300mm @ 28mm, shot with a nodal rail. Here are the result using auto mode on all of them:

Photoshop CS4:

Panorama Maker:

they all create pretty much the same looking result. Photoshop doesn't go all the way to the left and right. I am surprise to find both Photoshop and PTGui image are "fuzzy", but Panorama Maker version is sharp. Click the image twice and look at the builds on the right. The lights on the buildings are sharp and not fuzzy on the Panorama Maker version. More or less like what I see in the original inside Lightroom. Because of this, I think I'm going to buy Panorama Maker and using that for my pano stitching.
