You are right but I do not see any other possible future camera for Sigma. Maybe a DP3 zoom, but in this case quality will drop.
However who knows the future, Sigma is not even living in this planet.

OK - Ill tell you what I want from Sigma.

A very simple camera with the SD1 sensor and the possibility to use some few very good lenses, zoom or prime. And all this for a reasonable price. The simpler, the better with focus on photography usability.

There are several possible ways to do this.

1. Make SD1 clone that can take Zeiss lenses, i.e. Canon, Nikon, Pentax or Sony mount.

2. Make a mirror less camera that is thinner and make appropriate adapters. Maybe they can reuse the NEX mount?

3. Make some few very good and simple manual focus lenses for SA mount. Those could then also be sold in other mounts. Maybe a new niche for Sigma third party lenses?

Only 3 is according to current Sigma plan. So ... why not do it. Do some very good lenses. They can of course do it. Its just that those will be rather plain and uninteresting lenses - so they might be hard to sell without being Zeiss.
