Bit off topic wifi question.
Dec 17, 2011

I have a home assembled desk top that runs just fine but is not wifi. It is on Windows 7/Internet Explorer. I have a Kindle account and a new Kindle keyboard. When I try to download a book, I use a USB port, pay online , Amazon accepts money but the Kindle screen says you must use wifi. I charge it on the USB and it seems to work until the last step. Tried the Kindle forum, they says it should work but no download.

Any suggestions ?

Is there a plug in wifi devise that I can use and download a driver to activate ? Plus add router?

I am happy with hi-speed cable and USB connections until the Kindle. And yes, 72 and slow on computers.

Many thanks for any suggestions,

Gaines
