Vivitar lens...any good????

A friend of mine heard that I was getting the E-PL1 the other day and rang me last night to offer me some additional lenses. They are all made by Vivitar.

One of them was a 28mm lens which on the face of it sounded quite interesting. Does anybody know this lens, and whether....
a) It will work on the E-PL1?
b) Is it any good?
c) How much it is worth (if anything?)

He sent me a couple of photo's to try to identify it. I'm wondering whether it would be a decent enough lens for low light iindoor piccies or as a walkabout lens?

Any help appreciated.
